Our Story

Often popular and enduring ideas are also
the simplest. National Lifestyle Villages was
inspired by an observation that people who
spent extended times in parks and resorts
experience a unique sense of low stress,
security, and community.

The idea of combining the carefree enjoyment
of a vacation, with the fulfilment of being part of a community of like-minded singles and couples, lies at the heart of the National Lifestyle Villages ethos and business model.

 After fifteen years of research and negotiation with local authorities and the State Government, the National Lifestyle Villages concept was launched in 2000. Since then our company and our concept has experienced rapid growth due to an ongoing process of constant improvement, and because of six fundamental strengths of our unique village model:

  • Attracting people whose kids have grown up and don't want the big home in the suburbs, but are too young, fit, or healthy for a retirement village. The average age of one of our Lifestyle Villages is about 20 years younger than the average age of a Retirement Village.
  • The relaxed ambience of fun and enjoyment experienced by our Lifestylers.
  • The gated security and substantial infrastructure of a master planned community combined with professional and respectful management. 
  • The luxurious sporting, health and social facilities of a first-class resort.
  • An unmatched level of affordability both in the cost of purchasing a home as well as the low ongoing costs of living in a National Lifestyle Village.
  • Providing a very long lease which is CPI linked rather than market linked so that today's affordability is maintained into the future for our Lifestylers.
